Speed is not considered a factor in a Monday morning ATV accident in Marlette Township, according to the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office.
Sanilac County Central Dispatch were called around 8am on Monday, February 10, about an ATV crash on Marlette Road, near Watson Road, in Marlette Township. Deputies, along with Marlette EMS and the Marlette Police Department, were dispatched to the scene.
Initial investigation shows that a 58-year-old Marlette man was traveling west on Marlette Rd when his ATV left the roadway and entered the south ditch. The driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the ATV.
The driver was transported by Marlette EMS to Aspire Rural Health System in Marlette for treatment of his injuries.
