Croswell City Council addresses water main break, various job postings

croswell-2

The Croswell City Council met this past Tuesday, discussing a somewhat elusive water main break and recent job postings.

With the cold weather having placed some strain on the city’s pipes, City Administrator David Tait emphasized that they are in the process of isolating a water main break. The suspected 12 inch pipe has been located and is expected to cause minimal impact on the community. The two homes that will be left without water have already been contacted, and the city is working as quickly as possible to fix the issue.

Applications for the police chief and officer positions have also been posted, with those for the City Clerk and Treasurer receiving several responses. Tait expressed that he will be reviewing submissions as they come in to help make the hiring process smoother. There is no deadline for applications, and those with the necessary qualifications are encouraged to apply.

The next city council meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025.
