
The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners approved several items at their Tuesday meeting, including the adoption of several workplace policies for the courthouse and other county buildings.
In addition to an amended dress and personal appearance policy, the board also adopted policies touching on animal access in county buildings, such as the presence of service animals and the banning of non-service animals, and a policy concerning political activities by county employees during work hours.
Other approved items on the commissioners’ agenda was the authorization and scheduling of a public hearing for the purpose of a Brownfield project in Port Sanilac on March 18, 2025, and the acceptance of $80,000 in grant funding for emergency management’s shoreline patrol.
