A 34-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle traffic crash in Tuscola County’s Dayton Township this past Saturday.

Caro Post troopers responded to the fatal traffic crash about 8:40 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Preliminary investigation indicates a 34-year-old Kingston man was driving a 2003 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Sanilac Road near Froede Road when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.

The motorcycle crashed into a westbound 2020 Ford Fusion driven by a 50-year-old Sandusky woman. The Kingston man sustained fatal injuries in the crash, while the Sandusky woman was treated and released from a local hospital for minor injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

Troopers were assisted on scene by MSP Traffic Reconstruction Unit, MMR, Mayville Ambulance, the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office, Kingston Fire Department, Kingston Police Department and Caro Police Department.
