
The St. Clair County Drug Task Force concluded an investigation this week into the sales of methamphetamine in the 800 block of Howard Street.
Two subjects were taken into custody during the execution of a search warrant on Monday, March 31. A search of the address revealed over 40 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The suspects were transported to the St. Clair County Jail and arraigned on several charges.
Two additional suspects were arrested on outstanding warrants and lodged at the St. Clair County Jail. The Drug Task Force was assisted by Border Patrol K9 and Port Huron Police Department.
Michael Kovalcsik was arraigned on three felony charges: possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, felon in possession of ammunition and maintaining a drug house. Bond was set at $50,000 cash/surety.
Melody Ellick was arraigned on possession of a controlled substance, double penalty, with her bond set at $10,000 cash/surety.
