
The St. Clair County Drug Task Force seized a large amount of methamphetamine across several searches within the first week of April.
On Tuesday, April 1, the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on the 5500 block of Griswold as a result of an investigation into the sale of methamphetamine. A substantial amount of methamphetamine and sales materials were located. In addition to the narcotics, a large amount of ammunition was located, along with multiple AR magazines, and a 3D printer with 3D printed weapons parts.
41-year-old Kimball Township resident Matthew Wickings was arrested on three felony charges: possession with intent to deliver meth, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and maintaining a drug house. He was arraigned on April 3, 2025 where bond was set at $50,000 cash/surety.
The Drug Task Force made another arrest in connection with the sale of methamphetamine on Thursday, April 3 . A traffic stop was conducted on Wadhams Rd in Kimball Twp where the driver was found to be a parole absconder, as well as in possession of nearly 60 grams of methamphetamine.
The 34-year-old Flint Township resident resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody. The subject is currently on parole for narcotics related charges, weapons offense as well as breaking and entering. He was taken to St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center where he awaits arraignment.
