Road work beginning next month in Port Sanilac will result in single lane closures on both M-25 and M-46 throughout much of the month of May.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) says the $375,000 project will begin on Monday, May 5th and is expected to be wrapped up by Thursday, May 22nd.

Work will include micro-surfacing, crack filling and pavement markings on M-46 from Whitney Drive to west of M-25, and on M-25 from south of Mulberry Drive to Orchard Drive in Port Sanilac.

MDOT says that two-lane traffic will be maintained by single lane closures and traffic regulators for the duration of the project.
