McKenzie Health System continued their tradition of giving back to the community with a $2,500 donation recently made to the Sanilac Career Center’s Health Occupations program. The donation will help contribute to the purchase of a new bariatric nursing manikin for the program’s use. The advanced manikin represents a 350-pound male patient, with its purpose to assist students in learning the unique challenges that come with treating a bariatric or obese patient. McKenzie’s contribution to the Sanilac Career Center’s Health Occupations class is the most recent in a longstanding collaboration between the health system and the program. Carrie Krampits, Director of Human Resources at McKenzie, says the health system is proud to support the important work being done at the Sanilac Career Center.
