(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) — The St. Clair County Drug Task Force recently conducted selective enforcement sweeps in Clay Township and the cities of Yale, Algonac and Marine City, looking for traffic violations and seizing illegal drugs. In the city of Algonac and in Clay Township, ten traffic stops were conducted resulting in an arrest for heroin possession, possession of marijuana, a felony drug arrest warrant and two other misdemeanor warrant arrests. Nine stops were made in Yale with one person arrested on a felony drug warrant and two arrested on misdemeanor warrants. Officers made 19 traffic stops in Marine City and made two arrests. More sweeps are scheduled over the next several weeks throughout St. Clair County.
