US government thinks gas will be even cheaper this summer

WASHINGTON (AP) – The government says motorists might save a bit more money on gasoline this summer than had been expected. In its monthly short-term outlook, the Energy Information Administration said Tuesday that gasoline will average $2.25 a gallon for regular from April through September. That’s 2 cents less than the agency predicted last month and 39 cents below prices from last summer. Gas is expected to average $2.12 a gallon for the entire year and rise to $2.28 next year.
