(NORTH BRANCH TWP) — Lapeer County Sheriff’s deputies are asking the public for assistance in the apprehension of a burglary suspect. On Saturday evening deputies were called to investigate a burglary in progress on Five Lakes Road in North Branch Township. The home owner observed a man in his barn preparing to steal items including a leaf blower. The suspect fled on foot after he was confronted by the home owner. Meanwhile an individual has been observed walking along Five Lakes Road numerous times over the past week. He is a person of interest that deputies would like to locate. He is a white man in his twenties…about 5 feet-seven inches, weighing around 150 pounds and has brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a camo coat, and brown shoes.
