(Deckerville) – A new Lions Club comes to Deckerville on Thursday, December 8 when eighteen men and women celebrate the Charter Night of the Deckerville Lions Club at the Deckerville Community Center at 6:00PM.
During the ceremonies, District Governor Dave Wineman will present the members with their official charter. Members of the Minden City Lions Club, who sponsored the formation of the Deckerville Lions Club, will also be on hand to congratulate the new members.
The Deckerville Lions Club has already accepted their first community project which will be announced at the catered dinner. Reservations are being accepted by Irene Cole, 2245 Ruth Road., Deckerville, with a contribution of $20 due by Friday, December 2.
The Deckerville Lions Club will meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30PM at Village Hall. Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
