The Imlay City police department is currently investigating a number of complaints regarding egging incidents that occurred on vehicles and residences at various locations in the community last week. During the investigation, is has been determined that the suspects purchased eggs at the Imlay City Kroger store.
The culprits used a Kroger loyalty card when they made the purchase. Police were also helped in tracking the suspects by a very sophisticated surveillance system that the Kroger store uses. Authorities believe that three young ladies are involved in the incident.
Sgt. Tim Wolford says he hopes the suspects come in and make statements before police have to seek subpoenas, pull records and spend countless hours on the investigation. He added that if the department has to go that far, they will seek prosecution for disorderly conduct, malicious mischief and possible destruction of property.
