Two local men were injured in a one vehicle crash over the weekend

(Argyle Township) – Two area men were injured in a one vehicle rollover accident early Sunday morning. Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies were called to the McKenzie Healthcare around 4 a.m. by staff, after two people were being treated as a result of a personal injury accident. The victims had been transported from the accident scene on Frieburger Road., north of Shabbona Road in Argyle Township by private vehicle.
According to police, a 1990 Chevy pickup, driven by a 25-year-old Deckerville man, was traveling Southbound on Frieburger Road. The driver apparently lost control and went into the ditch on the east side of the road and was ejected when the vehicle rolled over in a field. A 22-year old male passenger from Sandusky also sustained injuries in the crash.
Both subjects were treated at Mckenzie Healthcare with the driver later being flown to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw for further treatment. Police said alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the accident and it does not appear seatbelts were worn.
Names of the two subjects are being withheld, pending possible court action.
