(Minden City) – Repairs are underway to Turbine #10 in the DTE-Minden wind park. One of the blades on the tower fell off late last year, causing a shutdown of the tower and a detour for a groomed snowmobile trail around the collapse area. A replacement blade was brought through Minden City by a large truck last week and encountered problems making a turn. The blade scraped a telephone pole and caused traffic to be blocked for about a half hour on Bay City Forestville Road in Minden City while the driver attempted to navigate the turn.
Repairs to the damaged turbine tower may not be complete until spring.
