A 19-year old Kingston man and a 17-year old Davison resident had some unwanted guests at their broken down vehicle late Thursday afternoon, resulting in discovery of marijuana. Michigan State Police responded to a disabled vehicle on M-24 in Tuscola County’s Fremont Township around 5 p.m. and after making contact with the two individuals, officers smelled an odor of marijuana.
The vehicle was searched and nearly an ounce of marijuana was found hidden inside, along with other drug materials. The Kingston man was cited and released at the scene.
His passenger was also released at the scene. The incident is pending further review by the Tuscola County Prosecutor.
