If details can be worked out, a new support group may be coming to Sanilac County to help residents deal with the increased drug problem that law enforcement officials admit is becoming a very serious issue. County and private individuals met in Marlette last week to hear a presentation from an organization known as Families Against Narcotics. Organizers said the goal is to be in the schools for student education regarding drug use and working with families effected by drugs. Those attending the meeting were law enforcement officials, school officials and other individuals from throughout the county.
Another meeting to further explore options for Sanilac County is being planned.
