Prior to school returning in the fall, the church youth also intend to give away 250 backpaks to needy children from the area. They have been having various fundraisers to help raise money for the paks.
In other council news, City Manager Dave Faber told council the new sidewalk project west of town will cost roughly $725,000 with the city’s share being around $114,000.
