(WORTH TOWNSHIP) – Sanilac County sheriff deputies responded to a report of gunfire at a home on East Galbraith Line in Worth Township early Sunday morning.
Deputies said the home had been hit by bullets at least three times, striking a bed where the homeowner was sleeping around 2:20 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Police later made contact with a person of interest at a home on South Lakeshore Road and after securing a search warrant, and seized several firearms, ammunition and an illegal marijuana grow operation with additional firearms.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Sanilac County Drug task Force team.
