The power is back on in St. Clair County’s Kimball Township after a large outage Wednesday afternoon affected about 6,000 DTE customers. A company spokeswoman said the outage happened about 2 p.m. Wednesday and was caused by an equipment issue. DTE crews were able to isolate the problem in less than an hour and reroute electricity around it to restore power. According to the company’s outage map, there had also been a power failure in Kenockee Township area.
