A 21-year old Vassar man was arrested last week, after a two-year old child was discovered wandering outside and later was reported missing. According to the Tuscola County Sheriff Department, the toddler had gone outside alone in the cold weather. After not being able to find the child and posting an alert on their Facebook page, police were contacted by the child’s mother. She told deputies she had left the boy with her boyfriend while she was at work. Deputies arrested the man a short time later and he is now facing an arraignment on second degree child abuse charges.
