The Sanilac County Sheriff Department says Monday’s three-alarm fatal house fire on W. Applegate Road continues to be under investigation, but the victim has been identified. Authorities say 65-year old Terry Warner of Marlette was found dead outside the fully engulfed home, just east of Juhl Road. An autopsy report indicates Warner had been exposed to smoke prior to escaping the blaze. Sandusky and Moore Township fire departments assisted Marlette fire department at the scene.
