Although first thought to be a four year Felony, the 14-year-old Port Huron boy who was arrested after a professional football player was alerted to a comment on his Instagram post is now facing a maximum of 20 years. Port Huron police Capt. Joseph Platzer said the boy was charged with false report of a threat of terrorism, a 20-year felony. The boy, who police say admitted to the incident, was arrested after police officers from Boston contacted the Port Huron Police Department March 25. Police said the boy threatened to shoot up Central Middle School in the comment on the football player’s social media post and later, two rifles belonging to the boy’s grandfather were found in the home.
