The orange barrels are starting to pop up throughout the area and the City of Lapeer will be no exception, once the weather breaks. Five street projects are expected to be done in the city limits including pulvurizing old asphalt, new curb and gutters and other infrastructure improvements. City officials said the work will be paid for by their Tax Increment Finance fund but did not have an estimate on the cost of the projects.
