Like many school districts throughout the Thumb area, Cass City school officials are considering what, if any, additional security measures will be taken on their campus following recent school threats and attacks. The Cass City school board has formed an advisory board, consisting of school administartion, law enforcement and community members, to look in to the matter. Some consideration is being given to following in the footsteps of other districts that have opted to hire either a part-time or full-time officer for a more visible police presence in district buildings.
