After being opened in late May, the Helen Stevens Memorial Pool in Cass City is closed until further notice for repairs. The pool had opened for the Memorial Day holiday. According to village officials, after opening the pool, staff and lifeguards received complaints of scrapes and cuts to the feet of swimmers. The pool was checked for foreign objects, cleaned, and inspected. There have been subsequent complaints, which made it necessary to close the pool for cleaning and repairs. It is hoped the pool will be re-opened by June 18th.
