With the extremely dry conditions, warm temperatures and the small percentage of possible rain fall in the future, several counties in the Thumb region have issued burn bans. Where bans are in effect, no permits will be issued until the area receives a substantial rainfall. Small campfires and charcoal grilling is still permitted, but must be extinguished when finished.
