(EVERGREEN TOWNSHIP) – A three-vehicle accident in Sanilac County’s Evergreen Township Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of a 65-year old Deckerville woman.
According to Michigan State Police Troopers, a 57-year old Deckerville woman was northbound on Germania Road and failed to stop at the intersection of Deckerville Road.
The impact of the two vehicles forced one of the vehicles into a vehicle driven by a 22-year old Snover man who was stopped at the intersection.
he 57-year old woman was transported to Covenant Saginaw with non-life threatening injuries. The 65-year old woman was pronounced deceased at Hills and Dales Hospital in Cass City.
The Snover man was not injured in the crash. Troopers said alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Sanilac County sheriff department, Sanilac EMS, Mobile Medical Response, Argyle Fire and Rescue and Thumb Towing assisted at the scene.
