A three-alarm house fire heavily damaged a North Branch home last week. According to fire officials, the home had been undergoing renovations for the past few years and was nearly complete. Passersby saw the smoke and stopped to see if anyone was in the home and called 9-1-1. Firemen from North Branch, Deerfield and Burlington Townships responded to the scene. No one was in the home at the time of the blaze and no one was injured. Fire officials say the cause of the blaze is unknown and the home sustained heavy smoke, water and heat damage.
