(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) — The St. Clair County Drug Task Force assisted in shutting down two meth labs this week after concerned citizens contacted authorities. The first report of suspicious activity was Sunday. Officers assisted Clay Township Police in the 9700 block of North River Road. A suspected meth lab was found in the woods. Evidence was collected and the hazardous materials were cleaned up. An investigation continues. The second call came just after midnight on Monday, November 9. Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the 2800 block of Griswold Road after a resident reported suspicious activity in a van parked in a driveway. When deputies arrived, they located the van with three people inside. In plain view were components and precursors used to manufacture meth. A 32-year old man, 30-year old woman, and a 28-year old woman, all from Port Huron, were arrested and face charges of operating and maintaining a meth laboratory.
