Among the ballot issues facing Sanilac County voters next year will be two renewal requests, one for the County’s Library millage and the other being the Senior Citizens millage.
The library millage is based on twenty cents per $1,000 dollars of taxable value while the Senior Citizen millage is based on twenty-five cents per $1,000 dollars taxable value.
If the four-year library issues is successful, the millage would generate $326,000 dollars the first year of collection, running from 2020 thru 2023.
The Senior Citizens millage, if successful, would generate more than $408,000 dollars for programs countywide.
That millage is also a four-year renewal request, beginning in 2020.
