Sheriff’s deputies investigate car vs. semi crash

(SPEAKER TOWNSHIP) — Two people were injured, none seriously, in a car-semi truck collision Wednesday morning around 7:42 a.m. in Sanilac County’s Speaker Township. According to deputies, a semi driven by 78-year-old Donald Carless, was traveling west on Galbraith Line Road when he stopped at Brockway Road then proceeded into the path of a car driven by 55-year-old William Hahn of Peck. The impact caused the Hahn vehicle to come to rest in the westbound lane of Galbraith Line Road. The semi came to rest in the northwest corner of the intersection. Hahn was transported to McKenzie Health System by Marlette EMS for treatment. Carless was treated at the scene and released. Speaker Township Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
