(TUSCOLA COUNTY) – DTE, in cooperation with the Tuscola County Economic Development Corporation, is helping promote the Employer of the Day Hiring Event for Cass City’s new DTE Call Center.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, at the GST Michigan Works office on M-24 in Caro.
According to DTE officials, the plan is to hire 100 people for the call center at DTE’s North Area Energy Center in Cass City.
The company is hiring full-time customer care representatives. Entry level positions pay $15 per hour plus benefits.
There is an opportunity for pay incentives, and pay increases to $16.32 per hour after 12 months.
Skills and personal characteristics of a candidate should have intermediate oral and written communication skills, pass a pre-hire assessment and pass a Department of Transportation drug test.
The new call center will be an addition to DTE’s existing Michigan-based call centers in the Detroit and Grand Rapids areas.
