Michigan State Police Troopers arrested a male suspect in a home invasion case over the weekend in Tuscola County’s Koylton Township. Troopers were called to the area of Kingston Rd near Marlette Rd on a reported a home invasion in-progress. Authorities say Troopers located a male suspect who may have possibly stolen a vehicle in Wayne County earlier in the day and was involved in at least one robbery in Lapeer County. Around 5:00 p.m., the suspect crashed the stolen Dodge pickup in the area of Kingston Rd near Marlette Rd and fled the scene on foot. The suspect then stole a second pickup and again crashed just down the road. After this second crash the suspect entered an occupied residence and demanded keys but was chased away by the occupants and a dog. The homeowners called 911 and followed the suspect east on Marlette Rd, updating police on the location of the suspect. During this time, the suspect entered another residence and threatened to kill a female and demanded the keys to her vehicle but was again chased off. Troopers finally arrested the suspect without incident and lodged him in the Tuscola County Jail on numerous felony charges. He was scheduled to be arraigned today (Monday). Troopers were assisted by the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office.
