An ATV accident over the weekend in Huron County’s Dwight Township sent a Port Austin man to the hospital for treatment of injuries. According to the Huron County Sheriff Department, 38-year old Jason Zimmerman was riding his ATV near the 1400 block of Shott Road around 4:30 p.m. when he lost control while making a sharp turn. The vehicle rolled over on top of Zimmerman who was able to free himself, after being pinned under the vehicle for a period of time. Zimmerman sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle.
