Emergency personnel show tribute to healthcare community

In a movement that has caught on throughout the state, emergency personnel are banding together to acknowledge the dedication of their own with a special salute. Throughout the area, fire departments, police departments, EMS crews and other emergency responders have been parading past hospitals with sirens and lights activated, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of healthcare professionals. Wednesday night in Port Huron, numerous departments gathered at the St. Clair County Community College parking lot with fire trucks, ambulances, police cars and border patrol agents before proceeding to drive through the parking lot of McLaren Port Huron Hospital. The caravan then drove past the Tri-Hospital base station in downtown Port Huron before concluding the salute at Lake Huron Medical Center on the south end of Port Huron.
