(SANILAC COUNTY) – 12 Sanilac County townships have road millage questions on the August 4th Primary ballot for voters to consider, most of which are four year requests for road maintenance.
Amongst the road millages is one on Argyle that is a 2-mill request for four years that if approved, would generate $52,000 dollars the first year.
Voters in both Argyle and Greenleaf Townships are deciding the fate of a fire millage, having separated their ties to Bingham-Ubly for coverage.
Argyle would receive $25,800 dollars the first year for fire expenses while Greenleaf would generate $14,000 a year for fire and EMS, if the ballot proposals are successful.
In school millage issues, Deckerville is asking voters for their approval of a 10-year, $2.43 million dollar proposal that if approved would allow for several upgrades throughout the school district.
Sandusky voters will also be deciding on a 10-year, two-mill request for the district’s Sinking Fund proposal that would generate around $473,400 dollars it’s first year, if approved.
Harbor Beach is asking it’s voters for approval of a 20-year $1.24 million dollar request for upgrades to facilities.
