Sanilac County continues to report the fewest numbers of COVID-19 cases throughout the five-county Thumb Region, despite an increase of two additional cases reported since late last week.
Sanilac County reports 44 cases, with the largest numbers coming from the more densely populated southern half of the county, with 35 of the 44 cases.
The Croswell and Carsonville areas continue to have the highest number of COVID-19 cases with nine and seven respectively while the Brown City area has five cases.
There are 20 cases in the southeast quadrant of the county, 15 in the southwest, seven in the northeast and two in the northwest quadrant.
The County continues to report just five deaths attributed to the virus.
