The number of COVID-19 cases in Sanilac County continues to increase in small amounts as the County’s health department is now reporting a total of 140 cases since earlier this year.
Officials say of that number, there are 22 active cases with no hospitalizations within the county.
The eastern half of the county has had 80 cases since the start of the pandemic while the southern half of the county continues to have the highest number of total cases with 86.
Residents with a Croswell zip code continue to have the highest number of cases with 26 while the Sandusky area has seen 21 cases. Deckerville has had 18 cases with 17 in the Marlette area and 11 in the Carsonville area.
Emergency response staff reports plenty of PPE equipment available and drive-thru testing continues.
