Agents from the St. Clair County Drug Task Force have arrested a man wanted out of Texas for multiple crimes. The DTF was alerted by the Lubbock Police Department in Texas on Tuesday about a man wanted for sexual assault of a child and parole violation. He is also a suspect in a car-motorcycle crash that killed two people, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff Department. Lubbock Police believed the suspect, a 29-year-old man from Shallow Water, Texas, was in the Port Huron area. Shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, members of the Drug Task Force located the vehicle the suspect had driven from Texas in the 2900 block of 22nd Street in Port Huron, the sheriff department said. The suspect was arrested without incident. Members of the drug task force searched the suspect and found he was carrying crystal methamphetamine, the department said. He was expected to be arraigned Wednesday in St. Clair County District Court on multiple drug charges and is also expected to face extradition to Texas on the other charges, according to police.
