The numbers of COVID 19 continue to spiral out of control, both locally and throughout the State into the Thanksgiving holiday.
In Sanilac County, health department officials are now reporting 715 cases with 405 active cases and 12 deaths since the start of the pandemic. They also report 217 new cases since the last update, late last week.
Huron County is reporting 567 cases with 134 probable cases and 13 deaths while Tuscola County has had 1,419 cases, 127 probable cases and 51 deaths since the start of the virus earlier this year.
Lapeer County is closing in on 2,000 cases, with 1,897 cases, 278 probables and 48 deaths and St. Clair County officials have reported 3,534 cases, 473 probables and 76 deaths.
Statewide, health officials say more than 324,000 cases have been reported since the start of COVID-19 with more than 8,750 deaths.
