Sanilac County Community Foundation donates

The Sanilac County Community Foundation has stepped up again to lend a hand to another Sanilac County facility, this time helping the Brown City library.
At a recent presentation, Foundation members presented the library with a check for $1,000 to help with renovations of the library’s new location.
The former Tri-County Bank building, located across the street from city hall, has become the new home for the library.
Although the library is currently closed due to COVID, remodeling work continues with the hopes of being open sometime next year.
The Library Board purchased the old bank last year for $150,000 dollars thanks to a loan and also had support from the community who voted to pass a special millage that will raise around $21,000 dollars in the first year of a four-year millage.
The Community Foundation grant is expected to help purchase needed equipment.
