The Brown City Council plans to continue with major street work throughout town in the coming months, having approved Astec Asphalt to resurface Reed Street including construct new curbs, gutter and sidewalks along the length of Reed Street this summer. City officials say that street project is a continuation of other work that has been done previously. Other projects that have been completed include: resurfacing and sidewalk replacement on Lincoln Street as well as the repaving of Thelman Avenue, Autumn Gold and Belview Drive. Work has also continued inside of city hall where the area of the former library is being renovated.
