(AREA) – While the number of COVID-19 cases in the Thumb Region shows a daily increase once again, so to does the number of vaccines that are being administered.
In Sanilac County, more than 13,000 people have had at least one shot of the vaccine with more than 5,200 having received two doses.
In Huron County, over 12,400 shots have been administered, with more than 25% of county residents received at least the first round of shots.
Tuscola County reports over 16,000 shots being given with 10,000 of those residents receiving at least the first round of vaccinations while 5,700 have received both.
Lapeer County Health Department reports having given more than 20,000 shots total, with more than 13,800 having had the first shot.
St. Clair County reports over 40,000 vaccinations administered with over 13,000 having received both doses.
