(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) – The re-organization of the St. Clair County Sheriff Department continues, with the recent promotion of the department’s new Undersheriff.
During promotion ceremonies this week, St. Clair County Sheriff Mat King administered the Oath of Office to the new Undersheriff, Jim Spadafore.
Following the retirement of Undersheriff Matt Paulus, Sheriff Mat King named Spadafore to the position.
Sheriff King says Undersheriff Spadafore has worked his way through the ranks of the Sheriff’s Office, beginning his careeer in 2001, after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University.
He worked his way through the ranks, serving as Lieutenant in charge of the Drug Task Force and was promoted to Captain of the Road Patrol in November of 2020.
With the promotion of Spadafore to Undersheriff, Matt Pohl has been promoted to Captain of the department’s Road Patrol Division.
