Holiday lights to shine at Pine Grove Park
PORT HURON, Mich.— Pine Grove Park is set to sparkle and shine for the holiday season thanks to the combined efforts of local businesses and organizations who have created life size, lighted outdoor holiday displays.
Individuals or families wishing to see the lighted displays may walk or drive through Pine Grove Park from Nov. 24 to Jan. 2. Holiday displays will be lit daily from 5-10 p.m..
“I absolutely enjoy being a part of this new tradition that the City of Port Huron started. It’s wonderful to see all the people at the park enjoying the displays put together,” said Tim Ainsworth, owner of TMA Electric.
Thirty-four businesses have set up a lighted display for the 2021 Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park, including TMA Electric, who also participated in 2020.
“It’s a really must see for everyone of all ages. So many companies and sponsors out here really put a lot of thought into their station. They look fantastic,” said Ainsworth.
The Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park is located in Port Huron, MI at 1204 Pine Grove Ave. on the St. Clair River. In addition to the lighted displays, several photo opportunity stations are available to take photos near. This event is free for the community to enjoy.
“We’re excited to host the Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park for the second year. Our goal is to grow this event into a larger celebration and tradition bringing our community and families together for years to come. We want this to be an annual holiday event our community can enjoy and take pride in,” said Kati Gardner, co-supervisor of the Port Huron Recreation Department and the event coordinator of the Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park.

Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park is sponsored by Lake Huron Medical Center, Watson Bros Company, Michigan Mutual, Inc, Lakes Pilots Association, Carl E. Sattelberg DDS, Huron Dental, Biernot’s Carpet One Floor & Home, Touchstone Services Employment, and Maria’s Downtown Café.
The Port Huron Recreation Department provides a safe, fun, and active recreation and learning environment for adults and youth. Individuals may attend programs, clubs, camps and special events throughout the year.
