The Port Sanilac Lions Club has been serving in our community since 1946. Members are involved in projects such as collecting eyeglasses, supporting our local schools and non profits, and providing assistance to those impacted by medical and personal disasters. The Port Sanilac Lions Club was instrumental in bringing the plastic recycling project to our area and awarded six free Trex Benches to CPS Elementary School, the library, museum, and Business Association! Those efforts prevented 3000+ pounds of plastic from ending up in our lake and landfills.
When Covid hit, club members went to work to provide free hand-sanitizing stations to 12 local businesses. you’ve likely seen their members cleaning up a section of M25 each spring or working the 4-corners in Port Sanilac to raise money for White Cane Week and to support the Port Sanilac Fireworks.
But now, after 75 years of serving the community, the Port Sanilac Lions Club is in jeopardy of dissolving due to lack of members. They need your help to continue to expand their projects and serve the community. Not sure if a Lions Club is for you? T hen ask yourself these questions:

The Port Sanilac Lions Club invites you to attend their Membership Drive on Wednesday, February 16th from 5-6 pm. The event will be held at the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum, located at 228 S. Ridge St. (M25) in Port Sanilac. During this no-pressure, casual event, you will join others in community who share a passion for service, and learn about the world’s largest service organization – Lions Clubs International – and how Lions are helping out both locally and globally! Plan now to attend on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 for an evening of light refreshments, fellowship, and to learn how you can help serve the citizens of Port Sanilac, Its surrounding areas, and the world!
