(SANILAC COUNTY) – Following a string of alleged crimes including the burning of a vehicle in Elmer Township, a 30-year-old Sandusky man has been sentenced in Sanilac County Circuit Court.
Judge Timothy Wrathell sentenced Anthony Kujawski Jr. February 9th in separate cases involving incidents that happened last June.
Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies had responded to a section of Miller Road last June after receiving reports of a vehicle fire.
Investigators said the vehicle, reported stolen from a Watertown Township home, had been intentionally set on fire according to the Sheriff Department.
Later in the morning, deputies responded to an address on South Sandusky Road to a report of an intent to burn a vehicle at the residence along with a building on the property.
Sandusky police were also called to assist, after receiving a report of a suspicious person walking along the road. A Sandusky officer located a suspicious person walking down Cooper Road and took Kujawski into custody, lodging him in the County jail.
Facing several charges, Kujawski was ordered to serve up to 30 years on the various charges and will also pay fines and court costs.
According to Court records, his sentences will run concurrently.
