Deputies investigate accident
(SANILAC COUNTY) – An Imlay City woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Sanilac County’s Marlette Township.
According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on S. VanDyke Road, near Airport Road, south of Marlette around 10:30 a.m.
According to Deputies, a 2004 Ford F-350 driven by a 23-year-old Brown City man was traveling south on Van Dyke Road.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the northbound lane of M-53 and was struck head-on by a 2001 Dodge Caravan, driven by a 44-year old Imlay City woman.
Deputies say the driver of the Ford truck, and his 35-year-old female passenger, were not injured in the crash.
The driver of the Caravan was transported to McLaren-Lapeer for treatment of non-lifethreatening injuries.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Marlette EMS, police and fire departments.
