Despite a call yesterday afternoon reporting a suspicious package found in the Fine Arts Building at St. Clair Community, Port Huron Police and Fire departments could not find anything fitting the description.
The 911 call at 1:21 p.m. yesterday prompted Erie Street to be blocked off by first responders near Grand River and Greenwood and an evacuation of all buildings across the St. Clair Community College campus. Though campus was closed for the remainder of the day, college housing remained open to residents, as it is not located on the main campus.
The area was cleared for the public by 3:30 p.m. yesterday, with it announced that campus would be re-opened today for business.
